Bangladesh is self-sufficient in the pharmaceutical sector thanks to the significant progress the industry made in the last three decades. The pharmaceutical sector has now reached such a position that it has made the country proud. The government is ready to provide all kinds of logistics support for the further development of the pharma sector of Bangladesh. Government is also working to reduce the import of raw materials so that the stakeholders can produce good quality medicines.

“The government will go tough on low-quality drug manufacturers to ensure quality of the medicine and fair price in country. The abnormal price hike has become a problem in the country, for which is necessary to control the quality and price of medicines for common people. Stern actions will be taken against those producing substandard medicines.”
