Igbinedion University appoints Mora as visiting professor

Pharm. (Dr) Ahmed Tijani Mora, former registrar of the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN) and immediate past dean of Kaduna State University (KASU), has been appointed visiting professor in the Department of Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacy Practice of the College of Pharmacy, Igbinedion University, Okada, Edo State.

In the letter containing details of the appointment, dated 2 August, the management of Igbinedion University, the first privately-owned university in Nigeria to have its B.Pharm degree accredited stated, Dr Mora was specifically appointed to supervise the postgraduate students and mentor the undergraduate students of the university’s college of pharmacy.

Pharm. (Dr) Ahmed Tijani Mora, former registrar of the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN) and immediate past dean of Kaduna State University (KASU), has been appointed visiting professor in the Department of Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacy Practice of the College of Pharmacy, Igbinedion University, Okada, Edo State.

Dr Mora, who, on completion of his assignment as dean at KASU, returned to the Department of Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacy Practice, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, as a part-time lecturer to B.Pharm. undergraduate students of the faculty, a task he had been doing since 1986 free of charge, is also the president of Ahmadu Bellow University Alumni Association.

In addition to his part-time lecturing of undergraduate students at ABU, Dr Mora, the Wakilin Maganin Zazzau, is also now teaching M.Sc (Clinical Pharmacy) students of the faculty, as well as supervising M.Sc (Clinical Pharmacy) students and Ph.D students of the faculty in writing their theses.
