In recognition of his outstanding achievement in promotion of Pharmaceutical industry, Sir Ifeanyi Atueyi, publisher of Pharmanews has been honoured with 2019 Business Hallmark People of the Year Award.
The colourful ceremony, which held 10 November 2019 at the Civic Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos attracted bankers, healthcare professionals, airline operators and several other dignitaries.
Aside the Pharmanews boss, notable winners of the 2019 edition of the awards included Chief Willie Obiano, Anambra State governor – Hallmark Man of the Year; Kennedy Uzoka, CEO, United Bank for Africa – Banker of the Year; Chief Mike Ozekhome (SAN) – Professional Excellence Award in Law and Jurisprudence; Chief Sam Maduka Onyishi, CEO, Peace Mass Transit Limited – Business Integrity Award; Chief Bisi Olatilo, founder, Biscon TV – Professional Excellence Award in Media and Communication; Mrs Folake Ani-Mumuney, group head, marketing & corporate communications, First Bank of Nigeria – Professional Excellence Award in Marketing & Corporate Communications and Prof. Olufemi Adelowo, consultant rheumatologist, Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) – Outstanding Achievement award in Medicine.
Others were Air Peace Airline – Company of the Year Award; Collins Chikeluba, CEO, GMO Group – Entrepreneur of the Year Award; Fidelity Bank Plc. – co-winner, Special Product of the Year; Sterling Bank H.E.A.R.T Initiative – co-winner, Special Product Award; Mr Jackson Agbai Abbah, CEO, Dover Hotel – Outstanding Achievement Award in the Promotion of Hotel and Hospitality; Mr Abubakar Bello, MD NEXIM Bank – winner of Professional Excellence Award in Banking and Financial Services; Dr Godwin Ehigiamusoe, MD, LAPO Microfinance Bank – Outstanding Achievement Award in Micro Financing; Mrs Abike Dabiri-Erewa, chairman, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission – Public Servant of the Year Award and Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) – Parastatal of the Year Award.
The Business Hallmark People of the Year Award is an annual event organised by the medium to celebrate institutions and individuals who have affected national development in positive ways in the course of the year.
