Nigeria Records 561 New COVID-19 Cases, Toll Now 25694, 590 Fatalities –NCDC

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 561 more cases of COVID-19, with recovered 9746 patients and 17 new deaths.

According to NCDC, to date, 25,694 cases have been confirmed, 9,746 cases have been discharged and 590 deaths have been recorded in 35 states and the Federal Capital Territory. A total of 134,257 tests have been carried out as of June 30th, 2020 compared to 132,304 tests a day earlier

The agency said the 561 new cases were reported from 19 states- Lagos (200), Edo (119), Kaduna (52), FCT (52), Niger (32), Ogun (16), Ondo (16). Imo (14), Plateau (11), Abia and Oyo (8), Bayelsa (7), Katsina (6), Kano (5), Bauchi, Osun, Kebbi (3), Borno (2) and Jigawa (1).

Meanwhile, the latest numbers bring Lagos state total confirmed cases to 10,510, followed by Abuja (1,870), Oyo (1,380), Kano (1,216), Edo (1,105), Rivers (1,056), Delta (965), Ogun (826), Kaduna (766), Katsina (557), Gombe and Bauchi (503), Borno (493), Ebonyi (438), Plateau (382), Imo (332), Jigawa (318), Abia (310).
